The first edition of Cascade Equinox has revealed its impressive roster of over 50 performers that cover a wide range of genres. This diverse and dynamic lineup represents the festival’s Central Oregon roots, blending an eclectic mix of jam, electronic, funk, soul, and bluegrass acts that reflect the surrounding landscapes and community.
Last week, the festival began revealing its headlining acts, starting with the exciting announcement of electro-soul trailblazer Pretty Lights. Making his only appearance in the Pacific Northwest during his Soundship Spacesystem Tour after a five-year absence, the producer will be the top-billed performer at the Cascade Equinox Festival.
Other electronic music heavyweights headlining Cascade Equinox include producer polymath Big Wild, guitar-driven, psychedelic electronic pop duo Phantogram, genre-blending bass act Of The Trees, and boundary-pushing producer/guitarist Emancipator.
The jam and bluegrass side of the lineup boasts noteworthy headliners, including the indie-jam quintet Goose, the roots-inspired folk songwriter Trevor Hall & The Great In Between, and the folk-rock band based in Portland, OR, Fruition.
The festival will also showcase a plethora of in-demand electronic music acts. Highlights include the electro blues-grass duo Dirtwire, bass-experimentalist Opiuo, house music maestro LP Giobbi (performing a Dead House set), genre-bending producer Manic Focus, the electro-folk duo Moontricks, psychedelic house/techno producer Christian Martin, Dirtybird-founding member Mz. Worthy, and funky producer and multi-instrumentalist Vincent Antone.
Cascade Equinox’s dedication to band-focused sounds is evident, with an impressive array of acclaimed acts, including the funk-fueled quintet, The Main Squeeze, the progressive funk and psych rock-infused afro-beat band, Polyrhythmics, the four-piece jam and funk band, Eggy, and the future groove trio, especial.
