If you’re craving a bit of reprieve from the harsh January weather, warm yourself with the glow of thousands of candles and amazing classical music. This concert series known as “Candlelight Concerts” invites Portland people to enjoy the greatest works of music in intimate and unique atmospheres.
Candlelight Concerts are a series of original music concerts created by the events brand Fever. The stunning and peaceful performances illuminate stunning locations with thousands of candles. Candlelight was initially conceived as a classical music series with concerts featuring works from the greatest composers such as Vivaldi, Mozart, and Chopin. Now, the ever-growing list of programs includes a wide variety of themes and genres, including tributes to contemporary artists such as Queen, ABBA, Coldplay, and Taylor Swift, as well as shows dedicated to K-Pop, movie soundtracks, and more.
This multi-sensory experience has also evolved to feature different elements such as ballet dancers or aerial performers. They’ve also broadened to other genres like jazz, soul, opera, flamenco, and more!
Candlelight Concerts in Portland
And after having enormous success around the world, Candlelight Concerts is finally here in Portland. Five different event programs will be hosted by the historic Alberta Rose Theatre and Miller Hall. Located in the heart of the eclectic Alberta Arts District, the Alberta Rose originally opened as a movie house in 1927 and showed films until it closed in 1978. It is the ideal location, alongside the stunning Miller Hall. Miller Hall served as a non-profit educational organization at the World Forestry Centre in 1966.
These enchanting concerts will feature two maestros: the best of Beethoven and the best of Taylor Swift, in addition to a tribute to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
The Candlelight series takes place twice each night with two back-to-back 60-65 minute performances. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to each show. Candlelight concerts are an experience unlike any other. You definitely won’t want to miss it!
