Save Applecross Festival: Final Days of Fundraising

applecross festival

Applecross Festival needs your help to make its inaugural event come to fruition. This festival’s heart lies in bridging the frequently seen and experienced hierarchical gaps between musicians and fans, and to provide a platform for aspiring and undiscovered artists. A critical fundraising campaign with mere days left is underway, calling on their supporters and wider community as a last effort to help make this collaborative event viable. Scheduled for September 13th-16th, 2024, Applecross Festival will be held nestled in the picturesque Sierra Nevada foothills at the Blue Mountain Event Center in Wilseyville, California.

The festival was born from a Beat Retreat, an online classroom turned into a global community, hosted by Ben Cantil of Zebbler Encanti Experience. Its namesake is an ode to Ben’s hometown Applecross, Scotland. Their mission is to offer a place where the environment is the community itself, a space to ignite and fan the flames of co-creation and innovation. Attendees can expect a variety of activities, including premium audio-visual productions, live painters and performers, music performances by international DJs, your new favorite bass music artist, workshops on music production, burlesque shows, and immersive art installations.

This year has posed significant challenges that threaten Applecross Festival’s existence. Facing difficulties with ticket sales, the festival organizers have chosen to be vulnerable and honest with their community about the gap in funds needed for this dream to be feasible. These funds are crucial in order for Applecross to uphold their agreements with artists and the crew, to not cut any corners on production or safety, and to refuse to work with big name sponsors. Applecross Festival will happen with its integrity intact, or it will not happen at all.

To incentivize contributions, Applecross is offering several exciting perks for backers:

The Golden Ticket: This coveted pass grants lifetime access to all Applecross events, ensuring that supporters never miss a moment of the festival’s magic.

Buy 3, Get 1 Free: Festival-goers can purchase three tickets and receive an additional ticket at no cost, making it easier to share the experience with friends and family.

Discounted General Admission Tickets: 7% discount on GA tickets for the weekend.

VIP Upgrade: 25% discount on VIP Upgrade tickets.

100 Cool Points: While these may not have tangible benefits, they certainly add a fun layer to the experience, allowing supporters to feel even more connected to the festival.

Patron of the Arts: This is strictly a donation to help them stay afloat – purchasing this tier will earn you 20 cool points and a pack of assorted stickers.

Applecross is more than just a music festival; it’s a gathering place for families and friends, an educational resource unmatched, a place to foster a growing collective of artists and creators. Only a short window remains for them to reach their fundraising target. If the goal is not met, all perks purchased will be refunded. If the goal is met, all funds will be fed back into the event’s evolution over the years to come. The team behind Applecross is hopeful their supporters will rally together to contribute to this essential platform for innovation and connection. For those who believe in the power of music and community, now is the time to act. By contributing to their campaign, you are playing a pivotal role in the birth, growth, and development of Applecross Festival. It really does take a village.
